The Chauvin Arnoux C.A 8331 forms part of the Qualistar range of Power Quality Analysers. It is a good entry-range model that is well suited for installation and maintenance applications and is specifically designed to work in the field. It is rated up to 1,000V CAT III and 600V CAT IV and can be used to analyse both 3-phase and single phase systems. It is a 6A logger with it's own power supply.
The C.A 8331 is equipped with 3x voltage measurement channels and 3x current measurement channels. When current sensors are connected to the C.A 8331, it recognizes them automatically. It also offers the possibility of mixing different types of current sensors and configuration of the ratios allows direct reading of the measurements.

The Chauvin Arnoux CA 8331 Power Quality Analyser comes with Power Analyser Transfer (PAT) PC software included that allows configuration, transfers, processing and data analysis. There is also the option to upgrade to DataView software (sold separately) which provides more advanced tools, easier use, and the ability to generate reports according to the voltage quality standards.
The CA 8331 doesn’t come with current clamps included, however there is a wide range of compatible Chauvin Arnoux clamps available but sold separately (e.g. A913, MA193, MN93, PAC93). Likewise, if you need Inrush mode then you will need the CA8333 or higher.
CA8331Qualistar+ analyser delivered with a bag for accessories, 5 x 4 mm banana voltage leads 3m long, 5 crocodile clips, a set of 12-colour inserts/rings for identifying the leads and inputs, a scratch-proof screen-protection film (mounted), a USB cable, a mains power cable, a mains power pack, a safety datasheet, a multi-language operating manual CD and a PC data retrieval software CD (Power Analyser Transfer).
