The Seaward Apollo 500 is ideal for those who want a comprehensive downloading PAT tester, without the additional risk assessment features of the Apollo 600. Users of the old Seaward Primetest 350 and Europa Plus testers will find this an excellent replacement.

Like it's big brother, the Apollo 500 is built into a compact housing that fits comfortably in the palm of your hand. It will carry out a comprehensive range of PAT tests on 240V appliances, as well as dead tests for 110V and 3 phase appliances, with additional adaptors. The user menu is extremely intuitive, making it easy to navigate around the options and set the unit up.

Carrying out PAT tests is quick and easy. A series of standard test sequences for class I & II appliances are included, along with various lead tests to incorporate longer leads and those fitted with RCDs. The testing of appliances with RCD plugs fitted can also be done with the Apollo 500, so no need to buy additional test kit.

With the update to the Code of Practice in November 2012, fixed appliance testing came back under the umbrella of PAT. Whilst this has caused some debate, the Apollo 500 will carry out point-to-point testing of fixed appliances. (It is recommended that fixed appliance testing is only carried out by qualified engineers with an understanding of how to carry out safe isolation procedures).

The Apollo 500 is fully customisable, so you can add individual client sites and locations, asset ID numbers, change default test sequences and use it with a Bluetooth barcode scanner and printer, for faster data entry and label production. This versatile PAT is quick and easy-to-use, it gives clear Pass or Fail indications, along with test results and pass thresholds can be amended to account for longer lead resistances.

Users can upload asset information back into the Apollo 500 when returning to re-test. This not only speeds up testing as there is no need to enter the appliance info, but it also allows the user to compare test results with the previous year, to check for degradation.

    Simple Remote Data Transfer

The Apollo 500 features several methods for the transfer of data. The test results file can be sent via Bluetooth making it easier for engineers on the road to send information back to the office without the need to purchase extra software or licences.

    Comprehensive Health & Safety Software

PATGuard 3 software, Health & Safety edition, ensures complete traceability for all tests and assessments carried out, storing records and images on your PC. If you have operatives out in the field, data can easily be sent back to the office via a smart phone or tablet, alternatively test results can be copied straight from the tester to a USB memory stick.

PATGuard 3 maintains your test history and client data, giving you quick and easy management for PAT testing and scheduling of retests.
