Chauvin Arnoux CA8333 Qualistar+ Power Analyser

The Chauvin Arnoux CA 8333 forms part of the Qualistar range of Power Quality Analysers. It is a good mid-range model that is well suited for installation and maintenance applications and is specifically designed to work in the field. It is rated up to 1,000V CAT III and 600V CAT IV and can be used to analyse both 3-phase and single phase systems.

The CA 8333 captures and records all the parameters, transients, alarms and waveforms simultaneously giving a snapshot of the main features characterising the quality of the electrical network. It can be used for both preventative and corrective maintenance, as well as performing complete energy surveys of installations.

There are three voltage measurement channels and three current measurement channels. When current sensors (sold separately) are connected the CA 8333 will automatically recognise them.

For sizing installations or troubleshooting switching faults, the CA 8333 is equipped with a transient mode which allows users to measure the Inrush current over 4 periods.

What separates the CA 8333 to the other units in the series are the following:

The Chauvin Arnoux CA 8333 Power Quality Analyser comes with Power Analyser Transfer (PAT) PC software included that allows configuration, transfers, processing and data analysis. There is also the option to upgrade to DataView software (sold separately) which provides more advanced tools, easier use, and the ability to generate reports according to the voltage quality standards.

The CA 8333 doesn’t come with current clamps included, however there is a wide range of compatible Chauvin Arnoux clamps available but sold separately (e.g. A913, MA193, MN93, PAC93).
