The Megger Socket Interface Adaptor (SIA) is the safe solution when you want to test insulation and continuity at a UK BS1363 13 A 3-pin power socket as disassembly of the socket and exposure of live conductors is eliminated. Full flexibility of connection is enabled by three separate standard 4mm banana plugs capable of connecting to any input point of the tester, so reducing the time taken to test.
Plugs are colour coded for easy identification, and configuration changes are done at the tester, so difficult access socket locations such as under desks or within cupboards are no longer a problem. This adaptor is ideal for use when the electrical outlet is in a tight space and working directly into the back of a socket would be difficult.
A further application is Phase-Earth or Phase-Neutral loop or impedance testing without socket disassembly. The added benefit of the Socket Interface Adaptor is the security of mind, knowing that should the adaptor get forgotten and left on site there is no potential hazard for your clients or their children.
The Megger SIA10 is compatible with most multifunction testers (MFT) but particularly the Megger 17XX series (e.g. MFT1711, MFT1721, MFT1731, MFT1735, MFT1741).
