The Megger MFT1731-OS On-Site takes all the features and specification of the Megger MFT1731 (combined insulation, continuity, loop and RCD tester) but adds on top an Earth Spike Test Kit and also Megger’s PowerSuite software.
This gives you a complete package for installation testing and certification. Certificates can be created and completed on a laptop or PC using the PowerSuite software which works across a wide range of platforms (including Windows). Multiple certificates are supported.
The MFT1731 On-Site can be used in a number of ways:
Directly from the tester
Results can be stored on the tester and downloaded later to a PC
Several Users can complete different parts for large installs and test results can be combined into a single completed certificate. All done at the time of testing.
Multiple Users can complete the same certificate at different times using different testers.
Process for completing a certificate as follows:
Take your measurement with the MFT1731
Either store the result for download later, or output the result directly while on-site using the Bluetooth technology.
After completing testing on a system, all test results on the tester can be downloaded into PowerSuite and then generate the relevant certificate.
The advantage to doing it this way is that all other data for the system can also be stored with the results (e.g. customer name, site address, circuit descriptions and earthing arrangements with no need for paper records).
The MFT1731 is equipped with earth spike resistance ranges for measuring the resistance of a fixed earth spike using a 3 terminal technique and temporary test spikes. The MFT1731 On-Site package also includes 2x test spikes and 3x extended test leads as part of the Earth Spike Test Kit that is included.
