This tester has an internal memory, allowing for storage of test results for download to the Megger PowerSuite Onsite software. The inclusion of BluetoothTM technology also enables you to transfer data to a laptop in the field, effectively filling out your test certificate as you go.

Not all multifunction testers are the same, and the Megger is no exception. Unique processes enable this unit to carry out tests that others cannot. The full feature list is below:

Two Wire Non-Trip & High Current Loop Testing - Megger Unique Feature

This technology ensures you can carry out a non-trip loop test using the two wire method, with a resolution of 0.01Ω. PFC & PSC measurements are carried out at the same time as the loop test, with the results being displayed on the LCD simultaneously and it won\'t trip 6A MCBs. Three wire L-PE non-trip testing is also available. In addition, high current L-L & L-N tests can be carried out.

Insulation Testing

Four ranges are available, 100V, 250V, 500V and 1000V, with live circuit protection built-in and an adjustable buzzer threshold. Both the test voltage and resistance measurement are displayed and you have the option to inhibit the test at 25V or 50V.

Continuity Testing

Standard 200mA continuity testing, with a further 15mA low current option. Lead resistance is stored in the memory, even when the tester has been powered down. Other test features include auto-start and a fast buzzer with adjustable threshold. Resistance measurement ranges from 0.01Ω to 99.9kΩ

RCD Testing

Auto test feature makes RCD testing simple and the MFT1731 can test a range of RCD types including A, AC, B, Selective, programmable, 3 phase and B type RCDs. There is an auto-start feature and a ramp test that allows you to measure the exact trip current.

Earth Ground Testing

Using an optional spike kit (included with the MFT1731ONSITE) you can carry out a 3 pole ground resistance measurement.

Other Electrical Tests

Voltage measurement from 10 - 600V AC / DC, phase rotation and frequency measurement are all available on this model. In addition earth leakage measurements can be carried out with the optional Megger I-Clamp attachment.

Key Safety Features

Dust and rain proof to IP54, this tester has been designed to withstand the toughest environments, the Megger MFT1731 won't go bang if it's connected across phases, if it gets dropped or even when it\'s used in the rain. Protection against selection of the wrong range or accidental connection to live circuits is also included, even if the test button is locked on.
