This official one-day foundation course in thermography from the ITC (Infrared Training Center - the industry recognised world leader in IR thermography training) will equip you with all the necessary know-how needed to carry out basic thermal imaging (TI) surveys correctly, safely and avoiding common pitfalls and mistakes.
The foundation course is aimed at those who are new to thermal imaging, or those wishing to take the first steps towards becoming a professionally qualified thermographer, and is suitable for those looking to get involved in any of the following TI application areas:

In order to carry out a thermal imaging survey correctly, you need to understand how a TI camera works, what settings you need to change to get accurate readings, what materials you should avoid and how to select the best point for measurement. Following that, knowing how to interpret thermal images and put together a meaningful and accurate report is key.
This one-day ITC foundation course is interactive and taught live via video platform (in English) and will give you the knowledge you need. We look at thermal pattern analysis in order to determine the cause of faults and also include practical interactive demonstrations using real world scenarios, so you can put your knowledge into practice. At the end of the course, you will be given an example of a bad report and will use your knowledge to spot the errors.

Do I need a thermal camera to attend?
No, as this course is taught remotely we will provide all the equipment needed for the practical interactive demonstrations.
Are there any pre-requisites for the course?
This course is suitable for beginners and provides an excellent entry level into thermal imaging, so there are no specific requirements for attendance to this course. The course starts at 9.30am and finishes around 4.00pm.
If you have a number of delegates who wish to attend but for whom the upcoming course dates aren’t suitable then we do have options available where a group course can be run especially for you. These can take place at a mutually convenient date of your choosing and with the course syllabus tweaked to focus on your specific application(s).
