The CA8436 Qualistar Power and Energy Quality Analyser has been designed for Inspection and Facilities Maintenance applications across industrial and administrative buildings. It allows you to measure current, voltage, and power parameters across an electrical installation to enable a full diagnosis. It takes all the features of the popular CA8336 but now adds an IP67 rated outer case and power lead for use in harsh environments.
CAT 3 (1000V) and CAT 4 (600V) compliant to IEC61010.
Covers three phase, split phase and single phase, with or without neutral and works with all types of 2-5 wire electrical networks.
Size your electrical installation correctly by measuring maximum input current drawn by a device on power up.
The CA8436 Qualistar can measure Inrush over 10 minutes and captures everything.
Measurements include:
Pst (short term flicker) and Plt (long term flicker) as defined by the IEC/EN standard.
Energy values including oil tonnes equivalent (kW, Joule, nuclear toe, non-nuclear toe, BTU etc.).
Calculate K factor for transformers.
Harmonics
Distorting Power Current sensors are automatically recognised.
The display allows you to view all inputs simultaneously and measurements can be displayed as waveforms, values or Fresnel diagrams.
Operation Modes:
Power / Energy – displays all values and utilises start and stop keys.
Recording – programmable recording and storage for more than 450 values including required parameters and graphical display. Includes quick start up for immediate start of recording.
Alarms – can set up to 40 alarms simultaneously where threshold overrun can be set and monitored (each alarm occurrence is time/date stamped along with duration and extreme values)
Transients – capture hundreds of current and voltage transients, display events down to tens of µsecs.
Inrush – monitoring Inrush current when a load is powered up
Please note, if you require current clamps / sensors for this unit then they will need to be ordered separately. We recommend either the Chauvin Arnoux A193-450 (140mm) or A193-800 (250mm) though there are plenty of others to also choose from. If you are unsure of which will be most suited for you then please call one of our technical experts on 01923 442244 and they will guide you through.
