The Fluke 1734/B is the basic version of the Fluke 1734.
It is a 3-Phase electrical energy logger with Fluke Connect (FC). It will help you discover areas in your facility where you’re wasting energy, where measures can be applied to reduce your electricity bill, and optimise energy usage across the site.
The energy logger is suitable for conducting load studies, energy assessments and surveys. It measures parameters such as: RMS voltage, RMS current, voltage and current THD, active power, reactive power, power factor (PF), active energy, reactive energy, etc.
With the Fluke 1734/B, up to two Fluke Connect (FC) wireless modules can be used to capture measurements and the values will be automatically logged along with the power and energy readings. This is really useful as you can log related measurements such as temperature, voltage, current or pressure. These variables help provide a better overall picture of operating conditions.
It is really easy to set-up the Fluke 1734/B as it has a “Verify Connection” feature that automatically checks to ensure everything is connected correctly. It can even digitally self-correct for clamp orientation and phase identification.
All available measured parameters are automatically selected during logging so you can be sure you have all the data you need, even before you know you need it! The on-board memory can typically store up to 10 logging sessions (when survey duration is set at 8 weeks with 1-minute sampling intervals).
The detachable power supply is convenient for when space is tight and can be powered directly from the measured circuit saving you the need to go hunting for a nearby power socket, or from running extension cables across the floor.
Downloading your survey data is also easy as you can download directly to a USB flash drive via the USB port or via WiFi. Once you have the logged data reports can be created with the included Fluke Energy Analyze Plus software.
The only differences between the standard 1734 is that this 1734/B basic version comes without current clamps in the box, or the WiFi and Bluetooth adapter.
It is perfect if you already have a set of Fluke i17XX current probes you can use, or should you need a different size (as the standard unit comes with 1,500A 12” – but there are 3,000A 24” and 6,000A 36” versions that are available to purchase separately).
