Chauvin Arnoux F407, Harmonic Clamp Meter (1,000A)

The Chauvin Arnoux F407 is a datalogging harmonic clamp meter. It is ideal for low-voltage, medium-power systems in electricity production and distribution, industry, railways, etc. It is also suitable for lift/elevator technicians and other lifting and transport equipment specialists. Maintenance, testing, monitoring, diagnostics and connection are the main applications for the clamps in this series.

The Chauvin Arnoux F407 clamp can be clamped around a conductor with just one hand. With a measurement range up to 1,500A, an ability to measure AC or DC currents and wide jaw opening capacity, this clamp is ideal for use on switchboards in small or large industrial installations.

Harmonics:

By monitoring voltage and current harmonics, it is usually possible to determine which loads are polluting the electrical network. THD measurement (THD-f and THD-r) can be used to quantify the harmonics present on the network.

True InRush:

To size an electrical installation correctly (main switch, relays, fuses, etc.), you need to know the value of the inrush current, as it may be up to 20 times the steady-state rated current and therefore requires suitable protective devices. Unlike other instruments which measure the inrush when the installation is first powered up, the F407 clamp measures all types of Inrush, even those due to load increases on an installation which is already up and running.

DataView Compatible:

The Chauvin Arnoux F407 is compatible with DataView® software (available as an option). With this software, you can recover the data via a Bluetooth link. All the PC tools are then available to analyse and back up the data, export the measurements and produce a report.
