The downloading ET4500 multifunction tester is a comprehensive tester with added 3 wire earth resistance testing and download functionality. It's supplied with software for production of BS7671 test certificates and comes complete with USB download lead.
Ready for the 18th Edition
The ET4500 has built-in loop pass values which are set to the 18th Edition values.
Simple pass / fail indication
A red & green LED indicator gives an instant notification of a pass or fail, based on the selected pass limit.
Keep your firmware up to date
A key advantage of the Martindale ET4500 is the ability to update the firmware yourself. If further changes are made in the 18th Edition testing regulations, you can update your tester without having to return it to the manufacturer.
Auto RCD test results displayed simultaneously
Most other MFTs require you to scroll through the 5 test results of an auto sequence. The ET4500 displays all the results on screen simultaneously, saving time when recording the information.
Earth ground resistance test
With this tester you can perform a 3 wire ground resistance test with the optional earth spike kit.
Automatic wiring check
When connected, a wiring and polarity check is automatically carried out. This helps identify potentially dangerous wiring faults in advance.
True RMS voltage measurement
Did you know how important true RMS readings are? Standard RMS measurement only gives an average reading and with anything other than a perfect sinewave, this reading can be as much as 50% out! With true RMS, you get an accurate measurement. Whereas this feature is only available in the top model from most other manufacturers, it is included as standard with the Martindale ET4500. This true RMS reading will ensure your recorded voltage levels really are within the new Cmin limits defined in amendment 3.
User settable pass limits
Some installations may require testing to specific pass values. The ET4500 allows you to set these limits manually, ideal if you have a number of engineers testing a site, or if you are training an apprentice.
CAT IV safety rating
Safety is paramount when it comes to testing. Using a tester on a system that it is not rated for can lead to serious injury or death. The ET4500 carries a CAT IV safety rating, offering a high level of user protection.
Easy to replace test leads
Having a test lead fail on a job can be a real headache. If you can't obtain a replacement quickly, you can lose time on a job. The ET4500 comes supplied with standard 4mm banana leads, this means you can easily get replacements from your local wholesaler if you need them urgently.
Rechargeable batteries as standard
Rechargeable batteries and mains charger are supplied with this tester as standard. The ET4500 has a built-in charger, so no need to remove the batteries. A safety lockout function ensures you cannot charge the batteries whilst carrying out tests. An optional in car charger is also available.

The Martindale VT25 is a tough, compact two pole tester for measuring AC/DC voltages from 12V to 690V. Additional capabilities include continuity and phase rotation testing plus single pole voltage detection. The AC/DC voltage detection, continuity and phase rotation functions all have bright LED indication. Auto power-off ensures a long battery lifetime. The voltage indicator conforms to all the latest safety standards and includes removable probe caps for GS38 compliance. Additional safety features include a 1.2m double insulated cable with a black outer and contrasting inner core to give a visual warning of any damage. A built-in white LED torch makes it easy to use in low light environments.
The six piece LOKKIT BASE includes three different Martindale MCB locks, catering for most standard MCBs. The Basic Martindale Lock Kit enables you to carry out safe isolation procedures correctly as required by the Electricity at Work Regulations and includes the essentials for industry association approvals.
