Megger MIT485/2, Insulation and Continuity Tester

The Megger MIT485 mk2 insulation and continuity tester replaces the original MIT485 and is designed specifically for the telecoms and cable testing markets.

The MIT485/2 has these new features over its predecessor:

Test voltages at 50V / 100V / 250V and 500V

Gated access to 500V to prevent accidental selection

Variable insulation test voltage from 10V to 500V

PASS / FAIL indication displayed depending on the threshold voltage

Actual test voltage now displayed on the smaller digital readout, with the measurement reading on the larger digital display

The measurement test range is now displayed during selection

3 wire connection for Tip, Ring and Earth connection

Single range, faster continuity testing from 0.01Ω to 1MΩ

Differential measurement capability

REN value display for circuit under test

10MΩ input impedance to prevent loading

The MIT485/2 has on-board storage for >1000 test results with wireless data download via Bluetooth as a CSV file that can be opened with Excel.

There is now the option for the unit to be rechargeable either from mains or car charger (via additional accessories sold separately).

It also has a redesigned case, back stand, and 6x battery compartment with separate fuse access. The case is over-moulded for increased protection and is IP54 weatherproof rated.
