The Tomkat-S Cable Locator is used to assist in the location of buried pipes and cables to a depth of 3 meters and offers three modes of location.

The SigenDT works in conjunction with the Tomkat-S Cable Locator. There are two ways in which the SigenDT operates the first is by applying a signal by induction, the second is by direct connection.

To locate buried services the SigenDT signal generator is by far the best tool for the job. Pact Services recommend the use of the SigenDT in conjunction with the Tomkat-S Cable Locator and Pipe Locator.

Induction mode:-
To use in Induction mode, simply stand the SigenDT on the ground and turn the orange mode selector to the induction position.

Direct Connection:-
To operate the SigenDT in Direct Connection mode, simply connect the SigenDT to the service you wish to trace using the appropriate connection leads, select the connection mode on the SigenDT, select the generator mode on the Tomkat-S and trace the service.

It is advisable to always use "Connection Mode" whenever possible as this is by far the best way to trace and identify buried conductors.
