The Megger VF-T5 is a non-contact voltage detector with built-in infrared thermometer. Featuring 12–1000V AC detection, CAT IV 1000V safety rating, and laser-guided temperature measurement, it’s ideal for fast, safe electrical testing.
The Megger VF-T5 is 2-in-1 non-contact Voltage Detector with built in Infrared (IR) laser thermometer for temperature measurement.
It has been designed to check for the presence of AC voltage by lighting up the red LED situated in the tip, along with an audible sounder, plus vibration alert. The detector has both low voltage (12 V to 1000 V) and medium voltage (100 V to 1000 V) ranges. The Megger VF-T5 also has the added advantage of a bright white LED torch for use in poor light.
The 4:1 laser distance to spot ratio infrared thermometer has a temperature range from -30 °C to +280 °C with the reading shown on the LCD display.
The Megger VF-T5 is suitable for identifying live conductors, finding a break in a conductor, or verifying a blown fuse while in circuit, as well as for detecting AC voltages at socket outlets, switches, circuit breakers, fuses, cables, and luminaires.
