The Megger TC3231 is a spot thermal camera which is great for basic qualitative hot/cold spot detection (e.g. on electrical panels) and for general troubleshooting (exposed blocked pipes etc.).
The TC3231 is essentially an IR thermometer combined with a thermal imager all in one. It features a selectable thermal palette display, blended image function (where a digital image is overlaid to enable feature identification), as well as temperature alarms and centre-spot temperature. Level and Span are auto and the Field of View (FOV) is 38 x 38 degrees with a fixed focus.
Up to 6,000 thermal images can be stored on the included micro-SD card and these can be downloaded as .BMP files for use in reporting.
The IR resolution of the Megger TC3231 is 32 x 31 pixels (i.e. 992 measurement points) with a temperature range of -20 to +300 degrees C and the thermal sensitivity is 150mK. On-screen emissivity correction and reflected temperature compensation are also included
