Megger MIT525, HV Insulation Tester (5kV)

With memory and download capability, the Megger MIT525 is a powerful diagnostic tool. This 5kV insulation tester is ideal for testing the effectiveness of insulation in a wide range of electrical products, including motors, generators, circuit breakers, cables, bushings and more.

The unit is equipped with a range of pre-configured diagnostic tests including Dielectric Absorption Ratio, Direct Discharge, Ramp Test, Step Voltage and Polarisation Index, and will measure up to 10TΩ. Safety, ruggedness and reliability are paramount with all Megger products and this tester is no exception as it has a CAT IV 600V safety rating and its IP65 rating means you can use it even in harsh environments.

Operating the tester is simple, two rotary dials on the front select the tests and the large, backlit LCD is capable of displaying simultaneous results. The inclusion of advanced memory also means you can log and download data to the PC software, producing results trends over time and making diagnostics and analysis much easier.

A unique feature of this model is the ability to perform a test when the battery is dead, provided it is connected to the mains supply. Intelligent battery charging also ensures the Li-Ion battery is charged in minimal time.
