The Martindale PSI4000 is a new innovation in phase rotation testers, increasing safety for the user with a non-contact method of testing. Whereas common phase rotation indicators have to be connected directly to the live contacts, the Martindale PSI4000 features 3 inductive crocodile clips that simply clip around either insulated or uninsulated conductors in order to carry out the test.
Bright LEDs give a clear indication of either clockwise or anti-clockwise rotation, and an additional "Enhanced Brightness" switch increases the brightness further, making it ideal for use where there is strong ambient light. A buzzer tone also sounds to give an audible indication of phase rotation.
