Using a voltage indicator without first proving it is working correctly has proved fatal. The Martindale PD700 is a 700V AC proving unit, designed to enable voltage indicators to be fully checked, in compliance with Health & Safety recommendations. The proving unit can also be powered from a 12V supply, for instance from a vehicle. This unique feature is ideal for those who are working outside where there may not be a known source available or when batteries are running low.
The Martindale PD700 is low impedance compatible and features a low 50V check as well as a high 700V check. It's suitable for use with both the Martindale VI13800, VT12, VT25 & VT28. This model is suitable for use with any two pole voltage tester, with LED or LCD indication, such as the Fluke T100 series, Fluke T5-1000, Megger TPT testers and many more.
The PD700 can also check Drummond and other filament test lamps as its output is sufficient to illuminate the bulb.
