The new Martindale EZ664 gives total socket testing flexibility by being able to connect either to a standard 13 amp plug or via flying leads, ideal when testing at light fittings, fused spurs and terminals.
The EZ664 uses two groups of LEDs to indicate wiring condition, mains voltage level and earth loop impedance. The bottom group of three tricolour LEDsindicate the condition of the wiring at the socket under test or an out of tolerance supply voltage. Pass or fail and fault types are identified from the table conveniently located on the front of the tester.
A key feature of the EZ664 is the ability to check the earth loop impedance of the wiring under test and indicate the measured value in six discrete ranges via three tricolour LEDs. The technology employed by the EZ664 allows the earth loop impedance to be measured with a 30mA or higher RCD in circuit without it tripping.
Key Features
Detects multiple wiring fault conditions
Quick & easy testing via 13 amp plug or flying leads
The EZ664 is supplied with both a 13A, 3 pin Martindale TL207 adapter and a Martindale TL36, 3 way flying lead with croc clips allowing testing at light fittings, fused spurs and terminals. The two sets of test leads connect to the tester via standard 4mm jack plugs.
The EZ664 detects and indicates if the mains voltage is below 195V or above 270V or if the neutral to earth voltage is greater than 30V. If the voltage is outside these limits loop impedance measurement will not be made.
