The FLIR E8 is a great thermal camera for carrying out general electrical inspections, location of leaks, insulation problems, blocked pipes or radiators and general building faults such as thermal bridges. This fix focused camera features a 320 x 240 pixel detector, rendering higher quality thermal images. FLIR's MSX technology also adds extra detail from the digital image on the thermal, making it easier to see what you are looking at.
The camera has a 45° wide angle lens, making it ideal for use in small spaces or when capturing images of larger areas.
The E8 is ideal for both industrial and building applications alike, whilst this range of cameras does not have the ability to thermally tune the image (adjusting the temperature level and span) you can perform this function within the free FLIR Tools software. The user interface is incredibly simple to use and the inclusion of high / low temperature alarms and a desktop battery charger really makes this camera value for money.
