The manual focus of the Fluke TiS45 thermal imaging camera will give you better quality thermal images, as well as ensure you are looking at the right objects. The advantage of manual focus cameras comes when you are working at distance, or when you need to view panels through a grill. Fixed focus cameras will always focus on the closest object, whereas with manual focus you can see objects beyond this.
The Fluke TiS45 has a resolution of 160 x 120 pixels, which is widely seen as the base level for electrical inspections and ideal for location of basic building faults such as air leaks, water leaks and insulation deficiencies. Images captured are full radiometric, giving you a total of 19,200 temperature measurement points per image.
User settings in the camera allow for adjustment of key parameters including emissivity, reflected temperature, ambient temperature, humidity and transmission factor of IR windows. In addition you can adjust the temperature scale, change the colour palette and also blend the thermal and visual images in stages.
The standard TiS45 camera has a frame rate of 9Hz, however 30Hz versions are available to order. There is no extra cost, but an application form does need to be filled in and approved by Fluke before a 30Hz camera can be purchased.
The Fluke TiS45 thermal camera is supplied with the SmartView software for advanced image analysis and report generation. There are various report templates preset in the software which can be exported as a Word or PDF document. The TiS45 is also Fluke Connect enabled, so you can transmit thermal images to the Connect app as well as receive data from other Connect enabled test tools.
There is 4GB of internal memory in-camera, with an additional SD card slot to expand this. As standard the camera is supplied with a 4GB card, so you have plenty of storage space for thermal images and recorded voice annotations.
