Fluke 4181

Where a true blackbody source absorbs almost all electromagnetic radiation, typical infrared calibrators are unable to do this as the target plate is quite large. This results in a typical emissivity value of 0.95, but also further uncertainties across the plate due to heat loss. These uncertainties can often affect calibration results, making them less accurate.

The Fluke 4181, however, is radiometrically calibrated, which means that the uncertainties due to heat loss and emissivity are corrected, uniquely compensating for errors caused by the thermometer emissivity settings.

With a temperature range from 35°C to 500°C, these IR calibrators are ideal for calibration and verification of infrared thermometers and thermal imaging cameras within the range.
