The Fluke 4180 is a precision infrared calibrator with a temperature range from -15°C to 120°C and Ideal for calibration of infrared thermometers and thermal imaging cameras.
Traditional infrared calibrators, whilst referred to as blackbody sources, typically have an emissivity of 0.95. As such, calibration of IR thermometers and thermal cameras can be less accurate as there are a number of uncertainties. The difference with the Fluke 4180 is that the unit is calibrated radiometrically. This effectively allows for correction of those uncertainties, which are caused by emissivity and heat loss, allowing for more accurate calibrations.
In addition, this calibrator uniquely compensates for errors caused by thermometer emissivity settings, ensuring you will get more consistent, accurate and reliable calibrations.
