The Seaward Type-L 2000A Digital Clamp Meter with 100mm jaw size is specifically designed as a high-current clamp meter that can measure in confined enclosures.
It can be a challenge to measure current in power distribution systems, as the space between fuse carriers can be too small for a traditional clamp meter to gain access, and many clamp meters can’t measure currents >1000A.
The Type-L clamp meter was designed specifically for this purpose, measuring up to 2000A, and having a jaw size of 100mm. It has been specifically constructed to measure in confined enclosures.
The “Track” button switches on the clamp meter and in this mode will take a continuous measurement. The “Store” button will switch to a capture mode, and will store the highest reading measured – ideal for monitoring maximum demand over a period of time in electrical distribution networks.
