Fluke 709 / 709H Precision Loop Calibrator

The Fluke 709 is a precision loop calibrator, with an intuitive user interface designed to speed up calibrations and save you time. It features a range of 0 - 24mA and 0 - 30VDC. The large, backlit LCD display makes it easy to view in poorly lit areas and the central control knob makes selection of the program fast and simple, speeding up the time it takes to measure or source current, and power up a loop.

The unit is built into a robust, yellow rubber holster and is small enough to fit into your hand. An additional stand is provided to allow use of the unit on a bench.

HART Communication with the Fluke 709H

The Fluke 709H adds HART communication, supporting a selection of HART universal and common practice commands. With the low price of the unit, it makes the 709H unique as it is both affordable and compact troubleshooting tool. With the communicator mode you can read basic device information, carry out diagnostic testing and trim the mA output on most transmitters that have HART enabled, this is something that previously could only be done with a dedicated communicator or a more expensive calibrator or laptop with HART modem.

The 709H also datalogs HART data in the field. Using the TRACK software you can upload configurations for up to 20 HART devices on .csv or .txt format. The logged measurements can be recorded from a specific transmitter for further troubleshooting and loop tuning. Selectable capture intervals are available from 1 to 60 seconds and the memory will hold a maximum of 9800 records, or 99 individual sessions. Each sample of data will include the mA measurement, four process variables and standard status conditions.
