Product Code
The Fluke P3000 series dead weight tester has been designed to give improved accuracy and performance, with increased reliability and simple operation. These testers can be used to calibrate virtually any pressure sensing device including transducers, transmitters, gauges or pressure switches.

The calibrators are supplied with traceable certificate of accuracy, weight mass details and a range of adaptors, operating fluid and spare seals.

Operating Principle
Utilising the proven piston-gauge system, consisting of vertically mounted, accurately calibrated weight masses, the weights balance the upward force created by the pressure within the system. The pressure is then measured when placed on a correctly spinning and floating piston.

Instrument Base There are three variations in this range:

  • Single Low Pressure
  • Single High Pressure
  • Dual Piston Models
A high quality screw press generates and controls the pressure and hydraulic models include a built-in hand pump as standard to prime the system and accomodate large volume requirements.

Piston / Cylinder Assemblies
Manufactured to meet the demand for precision and accuracy, the Fluke piston / cylinder assemblies provide stability, durability and low thermal coefficients and distortion.

Weight Masses
All weight masses are marked with the serial number of the base unit and nominal pressure value, relative to the high or low pressure piston, where applicable. Standard weight masses are series 3 non-magnetic austenitic stainless steel and the optional fractional weights are stainless steel or solution / heat treated aluminium.

Gravity Correction
Local gravity has a direct effect on the force of the weights in any deadweight tester and varies greatly depending upon your geographical location. Therefore these testers can be calibrated to local gravity at no extra cost. If local gravity is not specified then the instrument will be calibrated to a default standard gravity of 980.665 cm/s2.

There are a number of models available within the P3100 series, details of each are listed below. Prices will vary depending on the model required, please call us on 01923 442244 to discuss your requirements:
