Q: When using the Metrohm LLT 11 Live Line Tester, can you please explain why, when voltages are in phase the meter reads 2X phase to earth values = 12.7 kv, and when out of phase the meter reads phase to earth values 6.35kv?
A: The table on the front of the 11kV Tester details the In-Phase and Out of Phase Voltages expected on an 11kV System and on a 6.6kV System. From the Scale the In-Phase and Out of Phase Voltages can be easily measured.
