We\u2019ve had a few customers get in touch recently after running into problems with their SPC PRO 2 Power and Energy Loggers and in most cases, the issue comes down to one simple cause: the Current Transformers (CTs) weren\u2019t connected correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s an easy mistake to make, but incorrectly connecting the CT’s can snap the internal metal connections inside the CT terminals, leading to inaccurate logging and damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Locate the CT sockets \u2013 each one is labelled for L1, L2 and L3.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Remove the CT \u2013 simply pop it out of the socket; no twisting needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Clamp it securely around the conductor you\u2019re monitoring.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Reconnect \u2013 push the plug firmly back into its matching socket.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
